Have you spent $200 on groceries?

Over time we have spent many thousands of dollars on groceries.  Thanks for asking.

I'm single and every time I go the store I usually spend just a few bucks.

Not usually, but it happens sometimes, especially during the holidays.  In my case "groceries" also includes cleaning products, health and beauty products, paper products, seasonal products, etc.

Sure, frequently. 

 That way I dont need to go to the store as often.

Spend over $200 we are good for a month

Yep. With two teenagers I spend easily that each week or more. And it’s still way cheaper to buy groceries and cook at home than to bring food in or eat out.

If you have children, and wait awhile, you will easily spend this much.  My highest was just under 400 dollars, which was combined with preparing for a trip we were taking. 

the amount varies

I always check the cupboards first,then make a rough menu plan and then make a list of what we need.

About £100 (~$140) a week is what we spend for 4 of us.
