Cola cakes -- fizzy or flat?

I'm going for the easy way -- box of mix + can of soda -- but is it better to use fresh or flat soda? Does it make a difference? Thanks.

    It does not make a bit of difference other than you have to stir the fizzy way down if you use fresh cola!

    If you are an adult did you know you can use wine the same way?? I like the sweet dessert wines for this.

    Well if you like the cola better fizzy then use it fizzy

    If you like it flat then use it flat

    yes it does make a difference the fizzy way might make it sour(cola sour)

    and the flat way will just taste of cola.

    Its up to you after all they are your cakes :)
