What are the best printer settings?
What are the best Printer Scan settings to scan and send an old black and white photo to another site please.
The 4 options are as follows;
Scan as - Colour? jpg, Resolution, - 300 or 600, Quality- best for email or medium and high
Thanks in advance
Just asking because no matter what setting I use I cannot attach the photo to send to a genealogy site.

Isn't it all pretty obvious? A b&w print needs only a b&w scan. Jpg is pretty standard.
Quality depends on your usage/purpose.
If you are scanning it just to show it to someone, then make it 300/email (but it will be small and limited quality). If you need the scan to work on the image or get a print, then you need to crank it up: 600/high.

Read the site's requirements for sending photos first. You just don't send without knowing their limits.

From site to site the rules or requirements for sending images are different. Send according to the receivers own protocol. :)
If there is no protocol its reasonable to use 300dpi on high.
