Items allowed on flights UK 2 Perth?

I shall be travelling from the UK to Perth in the near future. Will I be allowed to bring:

A laptop and can this be via hand luggage?

Also need to take 3 very small steel items (not heavy-replacements burner tops for AGA cooker bought by relatives in UK before emigrating) sales receipt available.

Do I have to get permission from (somewhere) to bring with me.

Check with your airline about what you can/cannot carry as hand luggage. I personally have carried laptop, handbag plus a carry-on, but that was with Qantas.

The metal thingos would probably be better of in checked baggage.

The laptop is fine as hand luggage. All airlines allow them.

The steel items would definitely cause you problems in hand luggage and might even give trouble in checked baggage depending on whether they trigger "heavy metal item" alerts in the scanning process.

Burner tops for AGA cookers are quite large really. Are you sure that they are not available in Australia?

You don't need any permissions to bring these items in though.

Why are you asking this on Yahoo? The majority of posters here are illiterate or under 12 years old. Ask your airline, as you might get the correct answer!
