Non commissioned officer In the army.?

Can a sergeant or corporal be an NCO? I know it means, non commissioned officer, but what does that mean exactly?

    it means u can lead, train and teach soldiers. It has some privelages and as u go up in rank- you get more authority. Its maybe like a store manager--u still have a district manager above u and so on.

  • Corporals and sergeants ARE NCOs.
