The plants in the garden centres are grown in ideal environments for plant development, so are more likely to progress quickly.
Geraniums need good light and at least partial sun. They will bloom happily in full sun in well drained soil. They do not like to be in wet soil, so be careful not to over-water, and, in fact, keep them a little on the dry side.
As the weather warms up, they will start to flower and, once they start, they will continue to flower right through to autumn. It has been a bit chilly, so your geraniums might be a bit slower than usual, but, just be patient and the buds will appear.
Once the flowers appear, you can give them a once a week liquid feed, such as Phostrogen, which will encourage more flowering, but don't feed until the flowers appear.

Geraniums need full, hot sun. Make sure they are getting enough sun, most of the day is best. They are heavy feeders, so buy a fertilizer for blooming plants.
The middle number on the fertilizer is Phosphorous which will promote blooms and/or fruit such as tomatoes or peppers. Read the labels and go for the one with the highest middle number.
10-10-10 is basic. 5-10-5 is better for flowers.

Did you use fertilizer on the plants? If you did check the label. If the N in the NPK is the larger number then you are encouraging beautiful foliage but no flowers. Whether you fertilized or not water with 1 tbsp Epsom Salt to 1 gal of water once each month to encourage blooms.

Elizabeth is almost correct. Epsom salts are for chlorophyll building, which effectively means FOLIAR (leaf) growth.
You need to keep the plant in as much light as possible - if it can get it at sunrise, so much the better. Water only in the morning. You may need to repot, though, since many garden centers are iffy w/their products and let them get root bound.

Any time now, I'd suspect. When you brought them home did you feed them? Then they're probably putting on a growth spurt instead of flowering. Won't be long.

You will be seeing them flowering very shortly about the end of may begining of june...
