I'm not talking about power in terms of military might but rather those countries that have the most influence in terms of culture and standing on the world stage (as of 2012)?

2) Whichever other one you're nearest to.
3) Whichever one makes the spirits you're drinking at the moment.
4) Whichever one threatens you in some manner.
5) Whichever one you consider moving to.

1 through 5 can dramatically shift as life changes.
