Am I asexual, or just afraid of sex?

Question

I can recognize that someone is attractive, but I've never had the urge to kiss or date anyone. I occasionally wonder what sex would be like, but I have no desire to ever act on my curiosity because I am generally uncomfortable with the idea of sex, and the vulnerability involved. I can feel sexual desire, but I don't want another person involved with my body. What is this? Is there even a name?

Nothing occurred in my life to make me afraid of sex, which is why the fear is illogical.

Many asexuals are still capable of finding people aesthetically attractive. Basically, she or he can see someone as "beautiful" or "handsome", but not "hot" or "sexy".

For the record, it's important to differentiate between libido and sexual orientation: one is your physiological desire for sex, and the other is who you want to sleep with.
