  • My 12 year old sister is a size 14?

She's very tall for her age (5'8"), but she definitely has a belly and is now the same size as our mum, who is middle aged and has had three children. The women in our family tend to be larger, but I was a size 4 when I was her age. She is really insecure about this, and I want to know what I can do to help her? I'm comfortable with my size (8), but I want to show her how to be a little healthier. What can I do?

  • What is a remounted production?

I have been cast in a show with a local theatre group that required 5 additional people to round out the cast for a remounted production. What's a remounted production? I only have 6 rehearsals, so I assume this means that I'm playing an extra. How does this work?

  • who you rather have a boyfriend/girlfriend who was fat and attractive or thin and ugly?

no, personality is not allowed to be a factor. This is just about physical attraction.

  • My lesbian friend thinks I'm straight, but I have a crush on her, and it might ruin our friendship?

I really love her, genuinely, and I know she loves me too (at least as a friend). I know she would date me if I asked her out, but once I take that step, there's no going back. I will have to either be her girlfriend until one of us moves away, spend the rest of my life with her, or break up with her, which would destroy our friendship. I'm afraid to ask her out, because it would change everything, forever. I have had two girlfriends before I met her, and with both of them, I found I was just bored of them after about a year, and I broke up with both of them. I don't want this to happen again, because I don't want to lose her, and I don't want her to lose someone else she cares about. She doesn't have a lot of friends, and her parents were killed in a car crash six years ago. I can't let her lose me, too.

  • Do you think I am asexual?

I can recognize that someone is attractive, but I've never had the urge to kiss or date anyone. I occasionally wonder what sex would be like, but I have no desire to ever act on my curiosity because I am generally uncomfortable with the idea of sex, and the vulnerability involved. I can feel sexual desire, but I don't want another person involved with my body. What is this? Is there even a name?

  • Am I asexual, or just afraid of sex?

  • I think I am in love with my lesbian best friend. Should I pursue this?

I certainly love her in a platonic sense, and there are definitely signs that she is attracted to me. The problem is that I am not exactly physically attracted to her, but I'm not physically attracted to almost anyone. If I tell her that I might feel something more from her, and I realize it isn't what I want, or it doesn't work out, I'm worried I'll hurt her. Should I tell her?

  • does my lesbian friend have a crush on me?

We have been friends for two years. In that time, we have had a lot of random, silly fights with art supplies during class that are instigated by her, and seem to be an excuse just to touch me. Second, whenever we are sitting on the floor she puts her head in my lap, and never does that with any of her other friends. Third, she might have asked me out before I knew she was gay and she knew i was straight. She asked me to go to the movies with her, which wouldn't be weird if I didn't know that all of her first dates are movie dates, and the offer has never been extended since. Finally, we were supposed to share a queen sized bed at her brother's house over Christmas, but she took the super uncomfortable armchair instead, because she didn't seem comfortable with the idea of sharing a bed with me. Any thoughts on whether or not she likes me? I only ask because everyone wants to know when someone likes them, even if it not reciprocated.

  • I am in love with a crazy genius, who is also straight?

I am a 16 year old lesbian, and I had always loved shows like Dr Who, Sherlock and The Big Bang Theory. Even though I'm interested in girls, I was really attracted to the minds of the leading men on those shows. When suddenly, wham! A girl (let's call her Alice) walked into my life. She became my best friend, but how I still don't know. She is the personification of Sherlock Holmes, the doctor and Sheldon Cooper, only in the body of a classically beautiful teenaged girl. She is honestly the smartest, funniest and most amazing person I have ever met in my life, and I can't help but love her. However, she also identifies as straight. She has never actually told me whether or not she is, but has never corrected me when I say she is. She hates physical contact with most people, but will let me put my head in her lap when we're sitting on the floor because she trusts me. Do you think there is a chance that she likes me back? Should I tell her how I feel?

  • How can I tell my best friend that I love her?

I'm a 16 year old lesbian, and in love with my best friend. She is the most incredible girl in the world. She's beautiful, funny, scary smart and genuinely cares about me. She does identify as straight, but in the two years I have known her, she has never dated a boy or even had a crush on one. I don't think she's asexual, though. I know enough about her to know that she could only be in a relationship with someone she trusts deeply, and while she is super uncomfortable with most people touching her, she lets me put my head in her lap when we're sitting on the ground. I think there might be something here, but how can I tell her without freaking her out? I'm worried that if I tell her, she'll just retreat from me.

  • I am in love with a girl who is pretty much Sheldon Cooper form The Big Bang Theory?

I'm a 16 year old lesbian. She is my best friend, but the problem is that she is straight, even though she has never dated a single guy in the twos years I've known her, or even had a crush on one. She's classically beautiful, scary smart and confident, so I'm sure she could get a guy if she wanted to. She also has issues with physical contact, and while she will hug someone back, she never initiates hugs. She is the absolute perfect girl, even if she is a little crazy. Our mutual friend refers to us as Sheldon and Leonard from The Big Bang Theory, and another thinks we are more like Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. I don't want a great platonic relationship, though. I seriously love her. She's weird, but I'm pretty weird too. When she speaks, the world stops to listen. Our English class nicknamed her Wikipedia because she knows so much, and a student in our Biology class called her a psychopath because she said that dissecting a human body wouldn't be any more emotionally than dissecting a frog. I'm making her sound crazy, and maybe she is. All I know is that I'm crazy in love with her. Should I tell her? No one makes me happier than she does.

  • I am hopelessly in love with my straightest friend?

I am a 16 year old lesbian, and I am in love with my best friend. She's absolutely beautiful. She looks like a disney princess with long, dark, wavy hair, pale skin and these incredible eyes that are blue, green and grey all at once. She is also the smartest person I have ever met. She is very distant from most people, confident, and has the answer to everything. A mutual friend started calling her Wikipedia. This girl is always there for me, even if she doesn't have the greatest grasp of emotions, and works very hard to make sure that I'm ok. She is the most infuriating, wonderful genius I could have ever hoped to meet, and the worst part is that I don't know if she is gay or not. She identifies as straight right now, but in the two years I have known her she has never had a boyfriend or even a crush on a guy, or a girl for that matter. Physical contact with other people kind of freaks her out, and while she will hug people back, she never initiates hugs. She is simultaneously the most and least socially competent person I know. I love her more than either of my previous girlfriends, one of whom I started dating just to make her jealous, but with no effect. The best way to describe her is that she is like Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory, or Sherlock Holmes from the BBC show, with me as Leonard or Watson. How can I attempt to make this go further without scaring her or ruining our friendship? I am never happier than when I am with her.

  • Why am I only attracted to intelligence?

I am a female, and identify as straight, but more important than gender is intelligence when determining who I feel attracted to. Given the choice between a superbly intelligent man and a woman of equal intelligence, I would choose the man, but I would choose the woman over a dull man, regardless of how physically attractive he is. Why is this?

  • How does a lesbian lose her virginity?

I am a straight female, but this is the sort of question I realize I cannot determine the answer to, and I have no desire for this show up in my google history. If a lesbian woman never has sex with a man, what is the point at which she loses her virginity with a woman? For all other sexualities, oral and toys don't seem to count, so how does this work? I only ask because I suddenly care more than I probably should about the answer to this. Also, I swear I am not drunk.

  • Does my lesbian friend have a crush on me?

I know that just because she's gay doesn't mean she's attracted to every girl, but she acts sort of silly and flirty around me, and isn't like that around almost anyone. When she gets tired, she reclines her head into my lap, stares up at me and giggles. She draws doodles on my notes, and sometimes swipes paint on my arm in art class. We're both 16, and she's never this juvenile around others. She invites me over to her house a lot, and I have slept over several times. We trust each other a lot, and she has shared a lot of stories about her life with me. We have been friends for over a year, and I'm worried that if she has a crush on me, it will affect our friendship. When she had only known me a week, before I realized she was gay and she realized I was straight, she asked me to go to the movies with her. I thought it was just a friend thing, but all of her first dates are movie dates, and she has never asked me to go the movies any other time.
