Correct postage for a DVD? UK?

I'm a bit confused. I'm trying to post an item as cheaply as possible. Ebay postage seems to want to charge me over £5 for UK second class mail which is obviously ridiculous. The Post Office say £1.20 but other seem to think it should be about 68p. How can I package this cheaply?

Take it to the post office - they will weigh it and tell you how much it is to post. The postal rates for packets and parcels changed recently and the minimum charge is now around £1-70 which I believe will cover a DVD.

60p will get you a first class stamp that will let you post the DVD in just the envelope no box?

£1-20 will let you deliver it in a box, with paper packing, and might just let you do so in a bubble pack envelope (it needs to be 24mm or less, P.O. say 25mm but some offices refuse at that)

Add 95p for recorded delivery, this way you get a signature to say it has arrived.

£5 is for next day special delivery, and has insurance cover to £200 and a tracked and signed for delivery.

Take it to the post office. No reason to overpay.
