Does time go faster as we get older?

Okay I know it does not actually go faster, but why does it seem the older I get the less time in the day I seem to have? Also the years fly by. Now we have all listened to our mothers/fathers, grandparents say how time goes faster as you get older!! But the strangest thing is, its true! It is not just that we have more responsibility as we get older, I used to think this was the reason. But no.. because even when I have a few days off and plan to just do the things I love to do, the day just flys by and I never seem to have enough time. One minute it is Christmas, and then next minute its here again, it feels like it sometimes. What do you think? oh and I am not 150 years old :) early 40s.

I am 82 years time is ever moving it never stands still . I think it depends what you are doing , at 40 as you say you have a lot of responsibility. and little time for your self,so time seems to go faster. But when you get older and have more time for your own pleasure, then time seems slower. I hear so many times that life is short . No it is a long time. It all depends how you use that time.

I always say that you are over the hill as soon as you turn 21, before that it seems that it took forever to do everything legal, and for your parents not to tell you what to do anymore, the years drag. Then you finally made it to 18, and even thought you are considered an adult you still can't not drink legally.

Then you turn 21, and have a great party with all your friends to celebrate your freedom.

Suddenly you are 30 years old, and ask yourself, What the hell happened? I was just 21, not to along ago.lol

because when you're younger everything you don't know yet seems more interesting and fascinating, you want to try it you want to know more about it you think about it you make plans etc. now you're in an age when there is almost nothing very amusing and new for you and you have probably done everything you could've done. i would advice you to do the things you havent done and always wanted to as soon as you get the chance . there's and old saying if life doesn't open you doors build yourself one . that's why work on it and do it before its too late. bring out that little kid inside of you

Well, when you're 10, one year is a 10th of your lifetime, so that's quite a high percentage. But when you're 50, a year is just a 50th of your lifetime, a much lower percentage. So, it does appear that time is going faster as you get older.

No one really knows. There is no scientist on earth that can tell you WHAT time is. To do that, it would have to be separated from its other component: space.

Since neither is "known" to Man (Science does not know what "space" is, really; there are many theories, but they are only that: theories), Man is in the Hands of God (depending of what He says time is)... so to speak.
