How can I get new bookmarks in Google bookmarks using chrome?

When I used IE quite some time ago, I had a toolbar with a button that copied the urls onto the Google bookmarks, similar to how the bookmarks work in Chrome with the added bonus of being able to access them in any computer anywhere. Would it be the same if I sign to Chrome from another computer?

You can't get bookmarks in Google Bookmarks directly by bookmarking them in Chrome, you would have to manually add them or upload them from an HTML file. It doesn't seem to make sense since you can do it from Google Toolbar (which only works on IE), but that's the way it is.

If you sign into Chrome your bookmarks from Chrome will be backed up to your Google account. You cannot access them from a web interface like in Google Bookmarks, but they are backed up so that you can transfer them to another computer with Chrome, or get them back if your computer crashes.

I will give you a warning though; you should only ever sign into Chrome on your own devices, because if you sign into Chrome on another computer all your synced data (including saved passwords, history, extensions and bookmarks) will be transferred to that computers hard drive for use on that version of Chrome and they cannot reliably be deleted if you can't physically access that computer, so it is not suitable for use on any devices you don't own like public computers or friends computers like Google Bookmarks would be ok for.

    I had the same problem.

Here is a nice video that shows you how to do it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXJAqzjW7l4

There is also this article that explains how to do it too - http://www.guidingtech.com/3125/chrome-bookmarks-s...

    I hope that helps.
