How important are Birthdays to you?

Most people I know don't care about their birthdays. They neither celebrate nor do they care about birthday wishes.

To me, birthdays are very important and must be regarded. I think it's a sign of respect and tell people that you care. I don't care for presents but to remember a birthday and congratulate somebody is very important to me.

How about you?

While my Mother was alive, I took her a present (in my adult life) and thanked her for carrying me to term and raising me with love and respect and teaching me the good values I utilize today. I feel birthdays should be parents days, and the parents should be revered and celebrated for doing what is the most difficult, but of the utmost importance, which is raising and educating our youth.

I find it very considerate when people take time to say "Happy Birthday!". It just makes me feel important somehow and yes it is definitely a sign of respect and friendship.

Super important! Every year of my life they have been celebrated and they will until I'm dead even if I start getting crappy presents like clothes as I get older that sucks but still its an exciting day! If people tell me they aren't doing anything for their birthday I'm like omg you at least need a cake. I don't understand who could pass up cake and ice cream maybe pie or cookies what ever you want your favorite resturaunt and presents and just be like no I just want nothing. I don't understand those people.

Most people I know do not bother about them, well as in not treating them as a special day, apart from the 21st and me 40th under pressure from family and friends I have not bothered about the others,

I don't understand the fuss with birthdays once you stop being a kid. It's nice for someone to remember but I couldn't care less if they don't, people have other stuff going on in their lives.

Bithday is a day which should be celeberated with full enthusiasm as on the same day but different year, you occupied your space on the Earth. One should remember birthdays and whish him/her by heart.

Not very important, less so as you get older and time speeds up.

Not at all. At my age I'm just relieved to have survived for another year!
