how to improve edges in figure skating?

my edges arent shocking or anything theyre pretty good and decent and consistent enough to do higher elements but there's definitely room for improvement. Does anyone know any really good exercises both on and off ice to help improving these. I know most people will say practice but it would help if you could say what i should practice... i spend about 1/4 of my practice time on edges but they just seem to have plateaued :(, also i find my inside edges harder not by much but i can feel it than my outside edges.

Practice the dance steps, because that's pretty much when you use all the edges and do your three turns, brackets, rockers, counters etc...

Also, do some interpretive in your free time and try as much as you can to incorporate your edges in your interpretive programs (try and choose some spanish-style music or hip hop/ r&b so it will demand your inside and outside edges) - not only will it improve your edges, but also your interpretive skating skills!

Don't worry about finding your inside edges a bit harder, I do too and so do a lot of other people, but honestly if you do more edge exercises like the ones I had suggested or anything you can think of - it will help!

There's not much that can be done off-ice except practice jumping double toe walley jumps on the ground often - and since I'm not sure which level you're at, you can do double toe walleys on ice as well <--- these little jumps are serious edge challengers... (if you haven't yet learned double toe walleys - you could try and ask your coach or self learn how to do it if you're interested!)

Hope your edges improve soon! xx

Regardless of what sport you do – be it basketball, football, football, or volleyball – you must be quickly, powerful, and have a high leap. These qualities could make or separate you as an athlete. This program Vert Shock is produced by the skilled player Adam Folker and you can find it here https://tr.im/yqRbY .

Unlike some of the leap higher techniques the Vert Shock program is fun to do and you'll actually learn to leap in those 8 weeks of program.

Vert Shock is an extremely effective plan, is a form plan and it can give for the results.

During warm-up, try doing some large edge laps, afterwards try "one foot skiing". It really helps, and you will pick up on it all soon! Goodluck:)
