Small Surrey Wedding Venues?

Does anyone know of any smallish wedding venues in the Surrey area? I'm trying to find something unique for myself and my partner.

1. We'd love a barn or cottage that you could hire for a civil ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception.

2. Exclusive venue, we've looked at hotels and from what we've seen they're not very private.

3. preferably where there is accommodation on site (hence the hire of a barn or cottage venue?

The budget is £10,000

Any suggestions, I would be very grateful.

xx

I would rent a cottage for a weekend. That is a cost effective way to go. However, if the septic system cannot handle dozens and dozens of flushes, you will have to have a portable toilet on the premises. Also, the owners may not want the liability of that many people on their rental property. There have been occasions where decks have been overloaded with people and have collapsed on the wedding day, so you must be mindful of that possibility.

Personally, I would rent the house, erect a tent, get a port-a-potty installed and get married there at a non meal time and have a cocktail reception with appetizers afterwards. This way people can mingle and socialize for a memorable time.

have you tried asking on the wedding section on MSE?

you will get many brides there, more specific to the area than you will here i think
