    I doubt it

but there is no harm in asking

(sorry - but whats the point in asking on YA what the council will say?

why didnt you ask the council?

And I dont suppose the council is the least interested in your circumstances

The only relevent thing is that to ended your tenancy and now you want to un-end it

Personally I think you have no chance)

This is probably going to depend on whether you ended your tenancy with the notice. If the notice period has ended then I think your tenancy will have as well so you may not be able to cancel the notice, and you will have to be granted a new tenancy. You will need to contact the council to find out what your situation is.

Legally your notice ends the tenancy and can not be withdrawn. That doesn't stop the council agreeing a new tenancy with you, but I suspect they won't do that and you will have to go back on the waiting list.

I suspect it depends on the council, and whether they have already allocated you house to others - but best way to find out is to call the council asap.
