I want to know what the probability is of getting an item with a 3% chance 4 times in a row.

You take the probability and raise it to the power of the number of tries.
(3/100)^4 = 81/100,000,000
This can be written better as the decimal 0.00000081

To get the probabilty of two things happening independently of each other, times the probabilities together. 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.3 or (0.3)^4 = 0.00000081
Convert to a percentage = 0.0000081%

(.3)^4 if each trial is independent and probability of success isn't changing each time you pick it.
