I really don't want to meet them?

So one of my friends, lives like an hour away from be by car, half an hour by train and he wants to meet, but we haven't seen each other for ages, and even though we text all the time, it's always really awkward in person, and so I don't really want to meet him, but i can't keep making excuses, what can I do? Also, he says how he can come here but my mum doesn't know we talk so he can't come here really :/ what can I do?

I'd say you should go because you wont get him off your back if you don't without ruining your friendship, BUT do something that forces you guys to either not talk or have fun. For example, go watch a movie. you guys can't talk during a movie, but you're still hanging out. He's going to keep asking you if you keep putting it off.

OR, do something fun like go to skyzone (it's really cheap.) You'll have fun there on your own.

When I have to hang out with people I know will be awkward with, I always make sure to do something rather than just chill. That way we have something to do, we arent forced to sit together not doing anything you know?

Then after you're done, go to a place to eat (mcdonlads or something.. Doesn't have to be fancy) and catch up. When you're done, you would have spent an adequate amount of time with him and you could leave.

Can you answer mine? :) http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ao...
