Why does Yahoo! Answers asterisk out those Saxon words known to all 8 year olds ?

I know that these words are censored in England by edict of King William I of England (the Conquerer) who banned the use of Anglo-Saxon at Court in favour of French, but America rejected English rule in 1789 so why does Yahoo obey this English king ?

Every 8 year old knows and uses them what purpose is served by censoring them ?

Update:

The words I had in mind were in common usage in Saxon times and swearing did not come in until Medieval times.

Do you really need to waste your time asking questions like this? I If swearing is that important to you, and you think it's appropriate because every 8 year old knows and uses that language (my kids sure didn't swear at 8 years old), then run your mouth off using any language you want on some site that allows it. Or better yet, do as you do in life without doing it on a website. At times in my life, I've certainly used language NOT appropriate in the company of an 8 year old. I have no problem NOT using that language in certain situations, whether there are children present or not. There's a time and place for everything. Some of us know what's appropriate and what isn't.
