How does Twitter know where I live?
This is a little creepy. Twitter suggested the name of a person I know who lives a long, lony way away from me as someone to follow. I don't follow anyone on Twitter or even use it much; so far I have posted 7 comments and that's it. When I set up my Twitter account I used a false name, false postcode (zipcode) and never reveal any information about myself.
So how in the name of f*** does Twitter already know I know this person? Where are they getting this information?

i don't know about twitter, but when i signed up for facebook in 2011, it suggested people that i knew from my email contact list, as i had to have an email to sign up for facebook. maybe it's the same for twitter
