how to know someone email if they answered your question on yahoo?

when you ask a question you'll find a case saying : Email me when I receive a new answer

just tick it and you'll be emailed when someone answers

You will never know someone's email on Yahoo! Answers. In our Y!A preferences, we can set our preferences to allow email from other Y!A users. Then when someone clicks our Y!A profile to see if we allow email, they can click that link to email. When emailing through Yahoo! Answers profiles in this way, email addresses remain anonymous. At no time is any email address revealed, either when sending or when receiving. So if someone says to email them, you should check their Y!A profile to see if they allow email. If they give their actual email address with a question or answer, DO NOT email them using that address!! You don't know them, and don't need some stranger having your email address. So if they have their Y!A preferences set to allow email, and you do also, email them that way.

I've seen questions asking people to answer by emailing them. Do not do that. The whole point of this site is that others can benefit from the answers someone receives to their questions. If the answers are only emailed, that doesn't happen. You only answer by clicking the link with the questions to answer.

Go to their profile use email key, if they have enable email setting... Otherwise no way.

You should enable email on your answers profile before going to email someone.

To enable email on your answers profile.

> Click "Answers Home" just below of Yahoo! Answers greeting > Click "setting/spanner" symbol under your profile & points table.

> Mark under tiny box where says [] can answers community contact me. And finall click save tab.

email addresses are not visible on YA. If you wish to email another member, you can do this.First, enable your email.

Go to the home page

click the wrench right side of the window. Scroll to:

Answers Community. Check as below: Can contact me via

email(Your address will remain private)

Can contact me via Yahoo Messenger

(This will make your messenger and Yahoo Id visible to

Answers community)

Click save.

Now you could click on their avatar, if they accept ims or

emails click on the appropriate one and follow the prompts.
