O2 Pay go go go sim?

Can someone help me please. I just bought a sim card..O2 Pay Go Go Go for a friend's phone. On reading the instructions on the enclosed card it says we will need to text in either Go10 or Go20 to choose a monthly bundle but the thing is she only wants to top up as and when she needs to and not regularly every month. Can she do this with this sim card?

    She would be much better off with GiffGaff that also runs on the O2 network.

    The PYG credit rolls over to the next month but not the Goodbags... but you can choose whatever Goodybag level you think you'll need month by month.
