Yahoo Answers is shutting down on 4 May 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Who is responsible for the "show more..." text, when you try to see a question here on Y!A?

When you selected a question to answer, you used to see the whole thing. Now you have at most two lines and then.... show more...

I DON'T have a teeny-tiny little tablet screen. I have a vast 22" (on the diagonal) type monitor, with on-screen real-estate to spare. I'm not interested in pokey-wee screens that you have to squint at, in a certain light to try and see what's happening in the world. I have my PC, that is that!

When I want to answer a question, I WANT TO SEE THE WHOLE QUESTION, EVERY TIME! I'm all for technology and new things - this move is a step backwards. Yahoo!Answers used to show the whole question - now I need an extra on-screen click.

It's not a matter of being lazy - it's the insistence of Yahoo that you do more work - therefore they can hit you with more advertising....GURRRRRRRR!

I've decided not to click the "show more..." text, so some of my answers will be incredibly strange in future.
