Yahoo Answers is shutting down on 4 May 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.
Has voting on Y!A disappeared forever?
In the Engineering section, none of the answers "In Voting" is newer than a week old, which seems to mean that they are no longer transferring answers to the "In Voting" status. That in turn could mean that maybe they've disabled "voting" altogether. I thought I might see some info on this by looking at recent questions in the "Yahoo!Answers" section, but I didn't see any (at least, not from this morning). Only some complaints about "% best answers" being suddenly altered -- I had that experience too, but it repaired itself eventually. Y!A seems to be infested with bugs these days.

It's phasing out. And you can thank the *** holes who run Yahoo Answers for that.

That "Asking questions on Yahoo Answers costs 5 points. Unfortunately you dont have enough points to ask this question. You can earn more points by answering questions or voting on in-voting questions." still never disappear!

I looked again this morning and saw there was no voting again, but there was a couple of days ago so we can only guess they are still fiddling the system to stop that option.
They did say something about a couple of weeks and that must be up by now so it is probable

You vote now on Answers you get for your questions you ask. You rate all other answers as you answer Questions . the numbers of thumbs up ratings designates the most probable answer to a question then its up to the question asker to give a best answer on the question they asked either by the community ratings or that best fits your Question as and correct answer.

They are phasing out voting but you may have to scroll way down to get to the questions that can be voted on.

They took it away a couple weeks ago, then it made a return, it's now gone again. According to the Yamster's blog, voting will cease completely after this month, Tie Busters the group that votes on undecided questions has announced that they are disbanding
