Conservatives believe that the UK needs extra powers to ban extremists and dangerous groups if needed bringing these powers in now ?

Banning groups based upon ideology is the first step on the path to authoritarianism, Only violent groups should be banned and suppressed and I'm pretty sure the government already has that power.

they are saying they will bring these new powers in but only if they win the next election

so in other words they are saying that we will only make you safe if you vote for us

how low can they get they are using fear to get votes
