I will be going to the Giants World Series Parade?

I will be attending the S.F. Giants Parade. Any advice, how to stay safe and not get crowd trampled or that is more for concerts? What time should I be to get a good seat? How long to wait to leave for the Bart? Any of you have been to any Championship parades? Thanks

I have been to 2 Super Bowl parades and a Stanley Cup parade here in Pittsburgh. It is best to be in the location at the end of the parade route because that is where the speeches are made and you have a jumbotron showing the whole parade. You will be safe. Also you can possibly get autographs when they get on the team bus and leave the parade.

gotta agree with statler, you're gonna find good seats in the MUNI or BART networks. A championship parade is where you stand.

The only "good seat" you may get is on BART. Be sure you leave SF before the celebratory rioting resumes. Have fun.
