Can I make a GP appointment without my parents?

I'm under sixteen and I live in the UK. I've been thinking about going to the GP for an appointment but I'm not sure if I would have to have my parents permission?? Does anyone know the legal side of things and whether I can go alone or not. If you think it's important, I've been worried about my stress levels and my attention span.

Hi. There's no minimum age to see your GP without parental consent here in the UK. As long as you understand what the doctor is saying and you're not a danger to yourself then your consultation, medical tests and treatment will remain confidential. If your doctor feels that you need to be assessed by child and adolescent mental health services [CAMHS] you can also see them in confidence. They prefer that you take a parent to the assessment but you don't need them involved in any way if that is what you want. If at any point a doctor or medical professional feels that they have a moral or legal obligation to involve your parents they will discuss the decision with you first and will only disclose the bare minimum they need to to ensure your safety.
