Feeling weaker in the gym after 8 months training?

Aged 47 have been doing mainly compound exercises three times a week and was making some progress until recently. But in the last couple of weeks i've had to reduce the weight and even reps and have felt weaker. I've had a minor shoulder injury, nothing major. The most rest i've had is about 6 days.

Should i take a couple of weeks rest? Or it may be low testosterone?

You have probably over trained yourself into a recovery hole that you can't get out of.....

Yes, take at least two weeks off during which time you should stretch every day, do some low impact and light aerobic exercise, eat properly and REST.

Take week after the rest to lightly work out and see how you feel.
