if i do a Full Format on PS3 will it delete all of its hardware ?

i want to sell my old ps3 and i want to do a full reset , if i do a full reset dose it delete the whole PS3 system or just my games and passwords .. etc

    It will restore the system to factory reset status. The firmware/OS will still be in tact, but no games and no users will be.
