Yahoo doesn't like me, so it would like to introduce me as a question mark. So if Yahoo were to introduce me to somebody, it would say: "Here's Question Mark!" It loves to question me!

I can't figure out if it's a yahoo glitch or if it depends on what device you are using. I've read some of the answers that say they are question marks but I see their user name.

Of all the famous glitches that have come and gone on this glitch festival of a site...........the question mark glitch is perhaps the oldest.......most recurrent......... and most puzzling of all.
Why would our names just vanish and a question mark appears?
what error in programming is this, and why on EARTH after 10 years can't they FIX IT??????????
First they take my avatar picture......and now they take my name .
If they take my X in a box too........what's next?
Oh great...............they just took the X in a box too........now I am back to being a White figure in a gray circle.

I have always been nameless, I have never made any headlines anywhere and except people I currently know, I am nameless to the world

It's a Yahoo glinch. I was "?" with no avatar every day for about a week recently. As soon as I hit "submit", my name and avatar disappeared, and was replaced with "?" and a generic avatar. It finally fixed itself 2 days ago. The same thing happened about 6 months before that. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Some sort of glitch. Yahoo cannot afford to pay quality technicians to fix the problem, so we're stuck with this for the foreseeable future.

right I used to have an avatar and a name but now i'm back to a question mark! how does that happen?

Because Yahoo doesn't care enough to properly maintain this site. It's just a way of generating ad revenue.
