Many airlines have special areas for shipping pets - American has their pet safe program, and we have used it - twice - to ship my daughter's cat to Hawaii. They are in a special cargo area of the plane (pressurized and heated), and have a van drive them back and forth to the plane. The airlines have strict crate requirement for the size of the pet. It must metal grate for the front - not plastic. It must screw together with metal screws, not plastic ones or clips. The crate will be expensive. The shipping fee is about $300, and then the pet and crate are weighed and that fee added on top. It cost $385 to ship a cat from Newark to Hawaii. The pet also needs a health certificate from the vet no sooner than 10 days before the flight, and proof of rabies vaccine. Make some phone calls - most airlines only allow 10 pets per flight, so arrangements must be made in advance.

You can fly it, you can have it travel by truck. You can find pet transportation services listed online or go to any airlines website if you want to fly the dog.
