How is this the United States going to split when we finally become two countries?

Will we have a north/south United States, or east-half/west-half split?

It's going to happen. It's only a matter of time. There is a massive divide between two groups' understandings of the world and we'll probably all end up either killing each other, or splitting apart. Neither side will accept any viewpoint of the other.

Also, who is going to be on those two pieces and will it be an even split?

Also, will we still call ourselves "Americans," even though South Americans are technically still Americans, because they're on an American continent?

Thank you for your responses!

It will be the free states vs the coasters. California will probably be absorbed back into Mexico, OR and WA will probably gain their senses and join back up with the free states or might join Canada. The south east coasters will be with the free states from the beginning, so it will just be the north east coasters and the free states.

Save yourselves the trouble of writing to the King of England again, and just use the pre-existing Mason-Dixon line.

There won't be a war because conservatives can't mount weapons on their mobility scooters.
