Haven’t done an assignment that’s due tomorrow, is there any way I can crash my computer or something to make it look like I lost my files?

Really bad. You are thinking like that. You are get hurted in the both ways whether you submit assignment or not because if you damage your system and give excuse system is crashed, then you also not get assignment numbers and you have to setup your system again, so it's better you have to make assignment. It's upon you... Good Luck!

This is all called self sabotage! Not only are you not doing your homework but you want to crash your own computer. Who are you fooling? You are only harming yourself. The time you are spending on posting this question then crashing your computer, you could just do the damn assignment. I would look into why you feel you cannot do the assignment. Talk with your counsellor at school because you can't go through life making excuses. You won't get anywhere.

You can just tell your teacher that your computer crashed. No evidence is necessary for an invalid excuse. You must be in high school or younger to think that excuse might bail you out.

Teachers are definitely smarter than that! They've seem it all and would know you didn't complete the assignment. They do have ways of punishing students who attempt to miss their work assignments. Intentionally harming the computer won't work. Their IT person would know if something had be done intentionally to the computer to disable it. You would be caught and embarrassed by your teacher. The old "the virus ate my homework" won't fly these days.

That is the worst thing you can do to a valuable computer. Just be honest and take the F or stay up all night and do the homework. Your choice.

Your teacher is not going to drive to your house and inspect your computer to verify it is crashed. If you tell him/her it's crashed they will either believe you or not. So it's totally unnecessary (not to mention ridiculously crazy) to destroy your computer that would cost you 100s of dollars to fix or replace. Best thing is just do the assignment. You'd be better off saying you forgot than to make up an elaborate story about a crashed computer because the end result is going to be the same.

A crashed computer is not a valid reason for no homework. Losing your files, anywhichway, isn't either.

This is an updated version of "the dog ate my homework."

Your teacher is not nearly as stupid as you think.
