How did Peter know it was Moses & Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration with Jesus? Was it by revelation from God as He heard previously?

At Matthew 17:1-5 Peter ask Jesus if could erect three tents f0r the three of them, One for Jesus ,one for Moses and one for Elijah this is because Peter saw all three in the Transfiguration. The ability to see this seem could have come from Jesus Christ or by Holy spirit from Almighty God.

Moses and Elijah were not with Christ That was a vision to imform the disciples (Jews under the law covenent)to listen to Christ from now on under the New Covenant Math 17;1-13 esp verse 9 Jeremiah 31;31 So we dont listen to Moses but since Pentecost the Messiah Christ

What impression did the transfiguration vision make on the apostle Peter? What effect can Bible prophecy have on us? Although we did not personally see this impressive vision, we are witnessing its fulfillment. Jesus is ruling as a powerful King. Soon, he will “complete his conquest,” opening the way for a righteous new world.​

The account does not answer that question.

Several possibilities exist. For example:

- they identified themselves when speaking with Jesus, and Peter heard them

- afterward Jesus informed the apostles, including Peter, of their identities

etc.
