If you had to pick one place to live in the US what state would want to live in?

I liked North Carolina and Tennessee. Nice people and such a beautiful environment. But there's something special about Colorado and her mountains, too.

It is North Carolina, and I am already living in this state. The beauty of this state is phenomenal. Another state I want to live in is California.

Not Colorado. Colorado is a beautiful state, there's no doubt about that, but trust me, you don't want to live there. I lived in Colorado for 3 years and we couldn't wait to leave. First of all, it's a hot spot for tourism. The people and the traffic are crazy. Second of all, it's a popular state and the real estate is extremely expensive, therefore this state attracts complete snobs. Almost everyone we met was so mean. All in all, Colorado is a nice place to visit, not live.

My first choice would probably be Texas if I was finally dragged over to the States to live there, but my other future "other half" apparently doesn't want to live there because her brother moved there from California after he was released from jail..... but I'd go there because it regularly ranks highly in Forbes mag type rankings for jobs + places to do business.... as well as the opportunity to potentially bump into local YouTube stars DemolitionRanch, LunkersTV + LakeForkGuy.

My current choice in South Carolina since my only other friend in the States who still has time to talk to me lives + the top corner near the border at Charlotte (NC) looks to have potential (came high in a best place to live ranking) + there's a Cabela's and Bass Pro in the area + supposed to be good for Gold panning opportunities + just outside the known natural range of the American Alligator, and good for Bass fishing too from what I've heard.

Colorado

How can there be a "BEST ANSWER" for this question? You asked us what state WE would choose.

I've stayed in the South because I like the friendliness and the weather. North Carolina was cool because if you live in the middle, it's only a couple of hours to the beach and to the mountains. Atlanta is my favorite city- but I did love the outdoor lifestyle in Denver when I visited there. I don't think I could cope with the snow, however.

NOT hawaii. currently live here all my life well majority of it excluding 2 years of my childhood but born and raised here. it's basically a shet hole living here mainly due to the cost of living and the wages you get. it's literally not enough. this is why many people leave and encourage their kids to leave for college.

i think i would much rather prefer california. i too eventually plan to leave Hawaii but not sure when or where i'd move to.

i actually liked san antonio ..its roads and canals were unusual ..what i did not really understand was the ALAMO thing ..inside it was as if it the most revered place on planet ..yet in Arlington cemetery people were laughing and talking out loud ??..not sure about which state but san diego ..corpus christie ..and daytona beach were my favorite towns ...but nobody should go to america and miss going through death valley ...or carson city

Florida, only because it's warm.

Definitely not California. For one it just wouldn't be my type of place and two there's too many natural disasters like earth quakes and fires etc... I'd like to live in Clearwater Florida though.
