A leading well respected democrat wants to ban planes . Are you OK with that ?

Airplanes and cars are such a small percentage of pollution in the big scheme of things. If you really want to use the law to fix climate change you could ban oil/petrol. Forcing tech companies to come up with alternatives for power sources for cars and planes. (which we already have just not implemented fully). Banning airplanes is just virtue signaling and has no actual benefit to the planet. We'll still burn.

that is not at all accurate. she is neither a leader nor all that respected (on an ideological level) and her generalized statements of idealized goals did not take that consequence into account. there are some of us Democrats who think she's pretty out there, and most everyone realizes she'll have no real political impact other than as a "point-counterpoint" example for folks to argue about. great thing about America is that she gets a seat in the House and a place to speak, regardless of whether or not you want to hear it or whether or not it ever amounts to anything other than mere speech..
