Why don't Kurdish people bargain for the prices things?
I work as a teacher and I just got to Kurdistan three days ago. When I was in Saudi Arabia, people always bargain for the prices of everything, and the same was true for Jordan, Kuwait, Egypt, Turkey, etc. Here in Kurdistan, I can't even get a taxi driver to drop his rate by the equivalent of 25 cents. Why isn't anyone bargaining for things here?

It is not ubiquitous in the Middle East. People rarely do this in Yemen, for example, and it is not that common in Syria. Other things which are much more common in Egypt than they are anywhere else include the practice of asking for 'baksheesh'. Tourist rip off markets will ask for ridiculous prices in Turkey, but they will in London too. Do not even enter such shops.

Different places do things different ways. Surely you must have noticed that on your travels. There often isn't any specific reason. It's just how things worked out.

In some countries and peoples bargaining for goods and services isn't the done thing, there is no culture of haggling.
I wouldn't go to a market stall and haggle with the trader over the price of 6 tomatoes.
