Why do religions keep trying to get others to believe their religion?
It's supposed to be a personal experience, not forced onto other people. Believe whatever you believe and leave everyone else alone.
UPDATE: I didn't ask for Bible verses which demonstrates my point exactly. Christians are unable to simply have a discussion without placing verses into the answer.

Divinely revealed truth has a certain, distinctive "ring" to it. Don't you think?

I agree there is no point in trying to force people into changing their mind.
That is not a fruitful approach for Christians to take.
However, you seem to be suggesting that we need to be completely silent on the matter of God and salvation.
Which, oddly enough, is you trying to get us to believe what you do.

So... you believe that I shouldn’t preach the Gospel. How strongly do you believe that?
That’s kind of like the statement: “You shouldn’t judge people.”... But, by saying that, you are judging me.

If you knew of something really wonderful, and you really believed it, wouldn't you want others to know about it as well?

Fot Christians, Christ commands it.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mar 16:15 And Jesus said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Luk 19:40 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Jas 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Christ nor Christians never "force" themselves. If Christianty doesnt appeal to you then just walk away in peace.
Take your own advice:

Religions that don't do that die out. Only the fitter religions survive.
