Because every country should be governed by their own government and not some other body of people they have little control over. It's the same reason people support local governments and state governments over the federal government.
How is that comparable you ask? Because both the federal government and the EU remove sovereignty and place it in themselves. Both of them also have this weird issue of letting members leave. The US federal government waged a war over it, while the EU pretty much refuses to let the Britain leave clean.

The new right or alt right does not support globalism and free markets.

To the extent that any of them have an opinion on it I'd guess they're for it. Trump is for it because he sees it as part of a international populist tide which he believes also put him in office. Other conservatives are in favor of it for other reasons. In part because it was mostly popular among UK conservatives. But also because it represents a repudiation of international organizations which American conservatives generally oppose. American conservatives generally favor the idea of national sovereignty, at least when it comes to the US, and see trans national organizations such as the UN or EU as deeply flawed at best. The fact that Brexit was partly motivated by fear of immigration also likely endears it to American conservatives, who are wary of immigration to our own country.

I don't care what Europe does, just stay out of our business and out of our country.
