What is up with car drivers attitudes?

My daughter dropped her motorbike on a wet corner the other day. She pulled something in her leg and was trapped under the bike. The car driver behind her slowed and then drover around her without helping. Other car drivers stopped to help, but one motorist complained that they should move their cars, since they were blocking the road. So have we always been this selfish, or have motorists become this arrogant and entitled in recent years?

The world is becoming more and more "ME FIRST AND THE HELL WITH EVERYONE ELSE!" I think it is their Christian attitudes is the problem.

I'm guessing most of them had no idea why the road was actually blocked. And those who could see what had happened didn't think it was that big of a deal. Because it wasn't.

Your daughter was involved in a single vehicle accident with very minor injuries. She lost control and snarled up traffic for a while, which doesn't generate a lot of sympathy. People only get concerned if they see a spectacular crash scene and / or rescue vehicles responding.

You've got to look at it from everyone else's point of view. When you get stuck in a city traffic jam, do you get out and see if someone needs help every time? Or do you figure it's yet another asshat on their phone or some yutz who dropped a lit cigarette in his lap or something similar? Because you know it's usually not a girl who needs help because she couldn't properly control her motorbike.

Do you know this person? it's quite possible that they did not have the capability to help your daughter. Or maybe they just thought there wasn't a problem.

As for the other drivers who asked to have the scene cleaned....

You are old enough to have a daughter that is old enough to drive-- if you aren't first on the scene, you don't consider stopping and expect the road to be cleared as soon as it's safe, right? Is this any different than driving with your parents growing up? No.

When you block their way, then they run out to help. I blocked 2 lanes of a highway so them guy's were at a red light anyways, they jumped out to give me aid because they COULD NOT DRIVE AROUND. the rest of the gang members.

Most car drivers are ignorant morons with the exception of those who either have a motorbike, or started out on one as a youth. Those that have only ever driven cars usually hate all forms of two wheeled transport.

I am 72. Trust me, drivers were FAR worst in the past. In the '60's-'70's, on my motorcycle, someone would try to hit me at least monthly. In the 2000's, it was down to one person trying to kill me once a year.

In last 2+ years, under Trump, the idiots feel that are allowed to be mean, since the President is.

Sadly, the truth is that we are creating worse and worse human beings as time goes by.
