Once the Raiders move do you see another NFL team relocating to the Bay area?

The bay area is growing with a population of 7 million and can easily support two teams. The Raiders will be moving to Las Vegas next year which will leave the area with only the San Francisco 49ers.

BQ: What team will relocate to the Bay Area?

BQ 2: Will another team relocate to San Diego?

No, there are no fans left. They’re either SF fans or diehard Raiders fans who are willing to make the trip East.

Yes, I see the Raiders moving back to Oakland (again) within 20 years.  Las Vegas will get bored of them.

No, not anytime soon. Maybe eventually.

Oakland doesn't deserve a team. It's to San Francisco what Camden, NJ is to Philly.

Unless you have an owner who wants to pay for their own land and stadium, it's extremely unlikely. Oakland isn't going to put out money for a stadium and land is very expensive. (Look for the current site to be quickly turned into a mixed use development after the A's figure out their new home.)

The Bay Area has also proven to not be that loyal. Raiders have had only 1 sellout a year for the last 3 years.

49ers had a half empty brand new stadium the year after they went to the Super Bowl because they were doing bad.

For a team to want to move to Oakland, that team would most likely demand a new stadium. Oakland is still paying the debt they incurred when they lured the Raiders back from LA by adding seats and luxury boxes to the Coliseum. The last thing Oaland wants is to spend money on a new stadium.

Therefore it is unlikely that Oakland would agree to build a new stadium to lure a team to move there. If a team wants to finance its own new stadium and it wants to play in Oakland, then they are more than welcome. The stadium in San Diego is probably in better shape than the Oakland Coliseum. If a team is looking for a place to move, they would probably move to San Diego instead of Oakland.

I don't see another NFL team relocating to the SF bay area.

BQ- I can't answer this because I think it's based on a false premise

BQ2 No I don't think it will happen

No team will relocate to the Bay Area. The Raiders have failed there TWICE now. The area simply won't support another team. As for San Diego, the Chargers moved due to a lack of public support for new facilities. There's no way a team will relocate into Qualcom Stadium due to its age, and there's not enough support for new facilities. This is a no...

Oakland moved once to LA, which lasted a couple of years, before they moved back to Oakland. Let us see how long they last in Las Vegas before putting another team there.
