Which is a better source of information about climate science: climate scientists or a political party that is bribed by the oil & gas lobby?

What astounds me is how some right-wing groups have come to view any efforts towards ecology and conservation as directly opposing the Republican party. Is a company going to stop offering plastic containers because we have more plastic in the ocean than fish? Oh, that's those damn liberals! Did someone suggest we maybe not build oil pipelines directly over the drinking water of the majority of the nation? Oh, that's those damn liberals!

Hell, I recently read a letter to the editor where a guy was upset over groups cleaning up trash on the side of the highway because that was apparently "liberal nutjobs" just trying to undermine Trump.

Meanwhile, Republican groups through out history have often been desperate to preserve species and forests, if only to have places to camp and hunt. But suddenly if we're not chopping trees down faster than they can grow, then it's those damn liberals.

And again, not all of the right is like this... I mean I'd assume the majority have a blue bin on trash day like everyone else. But the extremists are just hilarious in their insanity.

    Climate scientists.

Now, how do you know what any climate scientists are saying? Do you read their papers and draw your own conclusions or do you listen to Al Gore, Greta Thunberg and the MSM?

Could they be spinning the facts or only be presenting one side of the story? How would you know?

For instance, can you find any climate scientists who claim that the man-made climate change will be catastrophic?

If it will not be catastrophic, why are we worrying about it? And why are we prepared to radically alter our way of life, which will have many unforeseen consequences, to correct something which may be a non-problem?

I would go with the scientists actually measuring these things.

Climate scientists usually pay their bills with grant money.... have you ever looked into where that money comes from?

    Bet its political.

In the hearing this week, it was acknowledged that scientists employed by Exxon in the 70's had predicted global warming extremely accurately

At this point, no one in their right mind believes anything coming from the Trump and his party.
