Question for Christians but others are free to answer?
I get the feeling my conscience isn't working properly. I have a Christian book about conscience, and it says that sometimes people's consciences don't work properly. My mum believes that Santa is associated/has similarities with Satan, and thinks it's wrong to dress up as Santa. I believe Santa originated from Sinter Klaas or St Nicholas. In future I might be expected to wear a Santa hat at work but I don't think I could do this with a clear conscience. The point is it's important for me to keep a clear conscience, and if I don't , it could affect my working life. Apart from praying to God for my conscience to work properly, what else can I do?

Your conscience is working properly. Don't sell you soul for a job, God will give you another job. But you must always have the courage of your convictions, God will belss you.

There is no such thing as a "Santa hat" any more than there is a "Hitler mustache". It is just a hat. And a mustache is just a mustache.

This doesn't exactly answer your question, but I just saw it on Facebook and it's brilliant. Maybe you can see from this that Santa has nothing to do with Satan. The opposite, in fact.
ATTENTION ALL PARENTS WHO MIGHT NEED TO TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT SANTA 🎅🏼 **Son: "Dad, I think I'm old enough now. Is there a Santa Claus?"Dad: "Okay, I agree that you're old enough. But before I tell you, I have a question for you. You see, the “truth” is a dangerous gift. Once you know something, you can't un-know it. Once you know the truth about Santa Claus, you'll never again understand and relate to him as you do now. So my question is: Are you sure you want to know?"*Brief pause*Son: "Yes, I want to know."Dad: "Okay, then I'll tell you. Yes, there is a Santa Claus."Son: "Really?"Dad: Yes, really, but he's not an old man with a beard in a red suit. That's just what we tell kids. You see, kids are too young to understand the true nature of Santa Claus, so we explain it to them in a way that they can understand. The truth about Santa Claus is that he's not a person at all; he's an idea. Think of all those presents Santa gave you over the years. We bought those for you. We watched you open them. And did it bother us that you didn't know? Of course not! In fact it gave us great pleasure. You see, Santa Claus is THE IDEA OF GIVING FOR THE SAKE OF GIVING, without thought of thanks or acknowledgement. When I saw that woman collapse in town last week and I called for help, I knew that she'd never know that it was me that called an ambulance. I was being Santa Claus when I did that."Son: "Oh."Dad: "So now that you know, you're a part of it too. You have to be Santa Claus now. That means you can never tell a young kid the secret, you have to help us select Santa presents for them, and most important, you have to look for opportunities to help other people. Got it?" ☺️Look out for and help each other this Christmas🎄🎅 and... always be kind

Santa is a fake thing for kids so there is no need to worry...the hat wont kill you...I see no connection with the devil....try not to worry.

The Bible is the absolute Word of God and is 100% true. Whatever book you read, isn't the Word of God. It's just a person talking. So throw it out. The Bible doesn't say anything about "conscience working properly". The author of your book just made that up, so it's fake. What the Bible says is that there is liberty in Jesus. So if you want to wear the hat, wear the hat. If you don't want to wear the hat, then don't wear the hat. And throw all the books away, and instead, read the Bible. Start in the book of John and use the King James Bible, it is 100% perfect.

Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed in Jesus for eternal life, or not.
.
The truth is that Jesus loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing in Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death

If you don't want to wear a Santa hat then tell your supervisor the reason why. Then don't wear it!

You can stop listening to your mother and look up the real origin of Santa Claus, which has nothing to do with Satan, other than the obvious similarity of the names.
