People who work shift patterns of 4 days on 4 off?

Question

When people who work this shift pattern take their holidays, does it mean that they normally get 8 days off in a row, or could it be longer?

I think best by memory that they work one week days

One week afternoons and one week nights, then l

Think it’s about ten or so odd days off.

I would think you would get 12 days off.  Your normal 4 off, 4 days of PTO, your normal 4 off, then back to work.

I work 3 on, one off, 3 on, then my coworker does the same in the following week.  So, we work 6 of 7 days, then 7 off.  I assume the above scenario would be similar.
