How old are Luke and Nathan in the Pilot of One Tree Hill?
Okay I am about 3 episodes in and this confuses me. Dan leaves Luke’s mom and Luke behind to chase after college basketball. Then we find Luke and Nathan on the same Varsity basketball team and same English class.
How long between leaving Luke’s mom, did Dan return home work at/own the lucrative dealership, and marry/knock up someone else up to produce Nathan? Does this timeline ever get answered? More importantly are these brothers the same age/grade, if yes what age/grade is it? If not please tell how old they are supposed to be.

Lucas is about 9 months older than Nathan. Yes they are the same age I believe 16 or 17 when the show starts. It is their Sophmore or Junior year I can't remember
