Vauxhall Meriva Wear about is the thermostat  on the engine ?

I'm looking to see wear about

The thermostat is located on the engin I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right place help

    It's usually in the upper radiator hose housing on the cylinder head.

    Now close the hood before you get hurt or break something.

    I am not familiar with the Mervia, and can not identify the location from your picture,  but if you follow the top hose from the radiator to the engine, the thermostat is usually just inside the piece that connects the hose to the engine.  unbolt this piece from the engine and the thermostat will be between that piece and the engine.
