Fishing.... What is your favorite bait, Fishing Lure, live bait etc to fish with.?

My three favorites, and best producers (in no particular order) are:

Square bill crankbait

Texas rigged Senko

Plastic topwater frog

Live bait: Golden shiners

Go to lure: In line spinner

We used to use spoons or minnow replicas for pike and jackfish including the infamous Red Devil.

For bass,catfish  we used a basic worm on a hook and a float.

People use pickerel rigs for pickerel and i used to use garlic flavored bait for trout.

Your question depends on what species of fish you are targeting. Name the species of fish you plan on targeting for better results. Here is a basic Freshwater list:

LM Bass- Bait- Shiner. Lure- 1/2 OZ Jig or Plastic Worm.

SM Bass- Bait- Crawdad or Shiner. Lure- Jig or Inline Spinner. 

Catfish- Bait- "Prepared" Hotdogs or Chicken livers. Lure- Large Topwater lure. 

Trout (stream/lake) - Bait- Minnow or Nightcrawler. Lure- Fly/Bubble or (small) Inline Spinner.

I like crankbaits. Salmo hornets and shadraps are my go to lures. For live bait leeches work well and last all summer.
