16 and I haven’t really hit puberty, I am worried to go to clinic due to covid19?
I’m turning 16 in like a month, but i haven’t really hit puberty and I am getting worried. I’ve had pubic hair for a while now, but it was only until 2 weeks ago I started realizing some small hairs under my armpit. I have been consistently growing around 2-3 inches per year since I was 13, I am currently 5 foot 7 but my dad is 6 foot and my mom is 5 foot 5. I am worried that it’s the lack of hormone or something, we don’t have a family doctor, and I feel worried that they will reject me at my local clinic (especially due to covid). So is this a big problem that i need to be worried about? And if so, should I wait any longer or should consider booking an appointment?

Omar, you have nothing to worry about. You describe having a few of the secondary sex characteristics; therefore, you have entered into puberty. The very fact that you have the growth of body hair is proof of that. Be thankful that your development is later than some of your peers. Guys who develop later in their teen years usually have less of the “male” health issues later in life. Enjoy being a “boy” as long as you are able to do so. If your friends tease you about being a “little boy,” counter back with: “Jealous of my cuteness?” And drop it. Don’t let them know that you have any concerns. Be proud of your cute boy body and it’s development. Every one develops at a rate that is unique. Hang tough!

There is not set times for puberty. I remember I got my periods at 15 and this seems late, some girls get their period at 11.

You can call your clinic and request a phone call Appt. This way you can ask questions with a doctor. If he thinks you need to get tests he will advise you.

OF COURSE you're in puberty. Puberty doesn't come with a parade and fireworks. It comes with bush, growth of your nuts and dik Then pit hair and some beard. If you're 5'7" at 16, you may or may not hit 6' I'm a man, not a doctor, but I'd GUESS 5-10 or maybe 5-11. There's nothing to do but stay healthy and you're be all that you're supposed to be.
