Can a groin guard protect you from an IED?

Let’s say you are a soldier doing a tour in the Middle East in an area that is known by the enemy to use IEDs. Will it be safe to get a groin guard because believe it or not, I would be more worried about my testicles than my legs lol.

The reason "they" are located where they are is it is a protected area.    If you suffer an injury sufficient to do "them" any damage you probably will not survive anyway.

Why would a Soldier need to 'get' a groin guard?  It comes with the vest, along with side protectors, deltoid protectors, etc.

It's part of the ensemble for a reason--it works, at least if the shrapnel is coming from the right direction (the same as the rest of the vest).

Yes it can at best it will defelct and absorb shrapnel and limit the extent of the injury. Depending on The IED and how it's aimed having a groin protector will do nothing the IED will simply blow you in half.

Honey, what you need to do is help moms with the dishes. Then go pick your room up.
