What’s happened to comments?
Can we no longer comment on answers? If not, people can give completely wrong answers with no challenge? What a waste of time.

No we can not comment. It seems that Yahoo is pro Muslim. They also do not like any contrary statements against the Catholic Church. I do wonder if this is an attempt to slow down negative comments about the President. This commenting was a wonderful way to be entertained. You could also see how many people agree with your way of thinking.

I wish they'd bring them back, but I've noticed lately that you couldn't even write words like glass, class, pass, etc, because it contained those three letters, they censored just ordinary words because of those 3 letters, so I'm hoping that it might be a glitch to fix their censoring.

I would guess there have been complaints given the relatively uncensored nature of Yahoo comments. But at least they allowed freedom of speech, and it was enlightening to see how popular/unpopular a news item was. I hope they are restored, but there probably needs to be some moderating to discourage abuse.

Per Yahoo:
"In order to strengthen and improve community and engagement, we are temporarily disabling comments.
Our goal is always to create a safe, engaging place to connect over interests and passions and we’d love your feedback on how to improve this experience. Please email us your feedback at yahoocommentfeedback@verizonmedia.com"
.
My guess is enough people complained about how badly it was being abused, so it was removed. Too many used it to attack other users or to respond to questions posted by users who had them blocked.

Commenting has been turned off because of repeated abuse of the system we have discovered by several users.
